We’ve been wanting to work with Dutch illustrator Stefan Glerum since we were introduced to his work by our friend Thomas Danthony last year. A former assistant to Dutch cartoon legend Joost Swarte, Stefan Glerum carries the banner for his mentor’s ‘clear line’ style of illustration and adds elements of Bauhaus, Art Deco, Italian Futurism and Russian Constructivism to create unique work that is colourful, elegant and really very clever. So all this said, we’re delighted to bring to you our first collaboration with Stefan Glerum in the shape of a rather brilliant new art print exclusive to Black Dragon Press. Here are the details:
'Burgr Joint' is a 50 x 70cm nine colour screenprint on museum grade paper and limited to just 65 copies, each shipped alongside an embossed certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. It has been proofed extensively to Stefan’s exacting standards by White Duck Editions and will be available this Wednesday 25 July at 5pm UK time (BST) from our shop.
We asked Stefan to say a few words about the print, to which he replied “Space travel is hungry work (forget the blue milk)”. Can’t really argue with that.
We look forward to more exciting collaborations with Stefan in future, but until then, here is 'Burgr Joint':
